This Moment: A Little Edible Paint

{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor, and remember. ~ Amanda

If you're inspired to do the same, come share your moment with me in the comment section!

A Little Paint
{picture taken by grandma!}

*The paints were made with yogurt and Koolaide powder so that they were completely non-toxic, even though Harmony (nineteen months) never put any in her mouth. The colors were so bright and pretty : )

Looks very fun! Is Harmony 19 months now, or is this an older photo? I didn't realize she is so close in age to Cash (17 months).

That's such a great idea - do they dry out ok or is this a painting just for the joy of painting activity?

Thank you for sharing this! We want to make edible paint, but all we found so far was a recipe with gelatin. This is perfect. We're nowhere near not eating all creative tools just yet. :)

Aw a lovely photo :) I'd never thought of using yoghurt for a painting medium before, what a good idea

I love finger painting with littles! Such a classic moment!

Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday! It's always a treat to have a comment from you! And since you were wondering we had the chance to meet 2006 Olympic Gold Speedskater Joey Cheek at the Road to Sochi event on Boston Common last Sunday! It was so cool to get to meet an Olympian and see his gold medal up close (the girls even got to hold it)!

Have a great weekend!

How fun! I agree, my kids never ate paint either but those edible paints are just fun to make & paint with anyway.

This was a laugh out loud moment for me, as my youngest discovered flash photography for the first time... http://sofiasideas.com/2014/01/17/this-moment-94/

Carie, the paint dries beautifully! Vibrant colors still : )
