{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo few photos - no a few words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor, and remember. ~ Amanda
Modifying an idea I saw over at Rachel's blog, I will be taking a picture of Harmony in this coat every year on January 1st so we can see the progression of her growth and change. Someday she will fit into it, and when she turns eighteen, we will gift her the coat! It's a beautiful leather jacket which I found (for free) in one of the abandoned houses my stepfather was rehabilitating.

That is such a cool idea! It looks warm there. It's one here… Thanks for stopping by my neck of the woods :)

Happy new Year!

That's such a lovely idea, it will be wonderful to see how she grows and changes through the years.
What an awesome idea!
Happy weekend :)
How adorable and a really great idea!
Fantastic tradition! And such a sweet little one! I imagine there will be years she will run to get the coat and put in on for a photo shoot, and maybe some during those teenage years that she will grumble "really Moooommmm." But rest assured it will mean something important over all of the years.
Happy New Year to you blog friend!

Happy New Year and have a great weekend!
Lovely idea, don't think she will ever look better in it than this year though! Happy New Year to you all.
What a great idea! I can't wait to see her all grown up and wearing this lovely coat!
What a cutie pie! And what a GREAT idea! That is one of the most sentimental ideas oI've heard in a while... I can just imagine the tears on that day...
Great idea Lyssa, children are such great markers of time. It will be awesome to see her grow over time and eventually grow into the coat.
PS - l really like the idea of 'rehabilitating' abandoned’ houses too :)
